Sony Dye Sub Printers

I've just purchased a couple of used Sony UDP5500's and a used UPD8800 to use in my event work. None of which came with documentation (of course). I use software that I wrote, so I'm able to send images to these printers, but I can't get the colors right. Can anyone point me in the right direction for configuring these printers for color?

Also, one of the 5500's needs a firmware update. Sony's phone support is not responding. Does anyone know a shortcut phone number to Sony support?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Re: Sony Dye Sub Printers

Frank,
For your 5500, I STRONGLY recommend that you do not transport it with paper tray in. Take out paper when moving and make sure the first sheet of the day is properly aligned. The only way to clear a paper jam is by taking the cover off, then the inner cover, and even then you might not be able to clear the jam. If the jam is a good one, you have to send it to Sony Express in Atlanta. In summary, there is no easy way to clear a jam with than printer so becareful.
I will look around to see if I have any documentation. I probably never looked at it. If you have a question, call Sony Express and ask them; they've been helpful on the phone when I've had a problem.
