| Re: Canon TS-E 24mm f/3.5L Manual Yes, Martin is correct. You can probably exist just fine without the manual.
One thing that some people are doing is to return the lenses to Canon and have the axes rotated so that they are parallel instead of perpendicular. Canon did mine at no charge, but I bought them new, so I don't know if they would do that for a used lens. It makes the vignetting worse, of course, but gives a more flexible extension of range. I haven't made up my mind whether I like it that way or not. This is the first time I have used T-S lenses.
I find I can meter before the axis is extended, and that setting stays reasonably accurate after extension. I find that manual is the most useful mode, as metering after extension is not accurate.
I think the hardest part for me is getting used to manual focusing again. I welcomed AF because of my old eyes, and, sure enough, they haven't improved!
But I love the lenses. They are sharp and very versatile.
