Question Cleaning Lenses

This is almost a silly post, except that I suspect there are more options/methods/products than I know about.

So what do you use?

Re: Cleaning Lenses

ROR (Residual Oil Remover) made by V-VAX Products, www.ror.net. This liquid is GREAT. It will even totally clean Hoya filters, which are noted for streaking. I use Kimwipes (Kimtech Science) to apply and dry. Welcome to KIMBERLY-CLARK PROFESSIONAL*

Re: Cleaning Lenses

Easy. I have them every time and everywhere...My T shirt (clean) and my breath.

I've been cleaning my lenses successfully and safely for years with both. If it takes more, then I use my microfiber cloth that is washed regularly.

Curt
To paraphrase an old saying, there's no such thing as a "silly post". Well, for the most part anyway! For my perspective and a broad range of other opinions and options, here's a link to a recent test I did comparing the D300 in-camera sensor cleaning option with my old regimen with a D200, as well as a link to a more extensive discussion on this issue:

Discussion Forums @ Nikonians - D300 vs D200 Sensor Cleaning

Re: Cleaning Lenses

Larry,
You omitted the most crucial phase of using your lens cleaning system.
I've found that drinking a scotch and water before breathing on the lens imparts the scientifically correct amount of alcohol on the lens surface.
use this method and clean my lenses at least twice daily. My photos never looked better!
