Re: rechargeable batteries

I haven't done anything scientific, but I'm not noticing which batteries I put in when. The flashes that I've used more will start to slow down on recharge time, but I'm not seeing much relationship between recharge time and time since the batteries were charged. This is from totally non-scientific observation.

Re: rechargeable batteries

I can recommend eneloops as well - it's just like using 'normal' batteries No worries about taking the SB800 out of the bag when it's not been used for a week or two and discovering its dead. For me, this works better than using an external pack such as a quantum - battery packs need careful use as they can cause overheating in battery flashes.

Just my two pence worth...

Re: rechargeable batteries

I don't know if they are easily available in the USA but I use Ansmann batteries with their own make intelligent recharger and the whole system is excellent. The charger will flatten the batteries, bring them up to full charge and then trickle charge so they are at their optimun state ready for use. Ansmann Rechargeable Batteries and Battery Chargers

Re: rechargeable batteries

I recently bought the Maha MH C9000 charger and some Powerex 2700 and Imedion 2000 batteries. I haven't been able to tell whether or not the 2700 or 2000's perform better.

Is one more powerful? Shorter recycle? Anyone know about this?

Thanks! Curt
