Power from a Quantum Turbo Compact

I would like to hear from anyone who uses, or has experimented in the past, with pulling power from the Quantum Turbo Compact battery pack (under camera mount version) and feeding to the camera.

It seems like a clever option but before I sink $85 bucks into their cable to do this, I am wondering if its just not better and easier to have a spare battery!

I was curious as to where on the camera this cable plugged in to, but then realized it goes straight into the DC battery cassette.

BTW, am using this rig on a 1d mark IIn.

I have one and never use it. Nothing compared to the Quantums that you wear on your belt with a much beefier cable. The Compact doesn't have the horsepower of the others and you have to wait for the thing to recycle the strobe, whereas the others reacts immediate and I hardly wait. Furthermore, I want to cut down the weight on the camera as much as possible and it's idea to put the weight on your belt supported by your legs not you arms or back.
