35mm Viewfinder - Bessa?

I'm starting to really like my G9, but the optical finder is not very accurate. I'm thinking about putting a viewfinder in the hotshoe. Do you think this would work? Camera quest is selling a Bessa 35mm Brightline viewfinder for 145 or a 35, and I've found a leica 35mm Briteline finder on ebay for 95.

Leica 35mm lens Brite-line finder viewfinder Low price! - (eBay item 150158874895 end time Sep-13-07 12:40:17 PDT)
Voigtlander Bessa RF Accessories

Anyone have any thoughts about the respective quality of these two?

This is a good idea. Just realize that a 35mm viewfinder will have the wrong proportions -- it'll be 3:2 ratio, while the Canon is a 4:3 or thereabouts.

You could look for an external viewfinder made for a compact digital camera, like the Ricoh.

You absolutely right about the aspect ratio - I hadn't thought of that. The Ricoh is for a 21mm field of view, though. I'll look around a bit.
