Weird Stuff With A Fuji

Hi,

A friend of mine sent me the attached Jpeg taken on a Finepix A330.
I do not have the camera or card in my possession.
Any idea of what is wrong?

Thanks

Anthony,

My guess is that the camera did not write to the card correctly.

I had a similar problem with an early Ixus and some Crucial cards. Crucial swopped the cards and the problem went away.

Has your chum formatted the card in the camera? If not he should do.

Without the camera and the card you are going to struggle to put right his problem.

It's the "Picasso" effect where you put parts of the image together in funny directions and let the viewer figure out what it is a picture of. ;-)

Actually it is a file that didn't write correctly to the card. I've had this happen with several cameras. The problem turned out to be the cards.

I used to use a card brand called "Perfect Pix" and whenever a card was ready to "die" I would get an image like this. The company always replace the cards without cost.

I switched to Lexar and to Sandisk and have not had the problem since.
