Re: 28mm, IS and ISO 1600!

Panasonic LX-1

I use an LX-1, and when shooting in raw at ISO 80 and 100 the noise level is very acceptable. At ISO's of 200 and 400 I use Noise Ninja.

Overall I am very happy with the camera and its output: Leica lens, unique 16:9 aspect ratio, and small size. Also I don’t mind using Noise Ninja when necessary.

Finally, it has a very good optical image stabilizer.

And, the Panasonic LX-2 which is a new model of the LX-1 should hit the market anytime soon...

Nill
Probably too late for this issue, but here's a link comparing the SD800 IS with the SD700 IS, with the latter as a sharper and better noise camera, but without the 28mm capability. What did you finally decide to purchase?
