| FZ30 RAW write times My wife is considering the FZ30 as an upgrade to the FZ20 so she can shoot RAW, and I'm considering it as a coat pocket (big coat pocket?) camera for days when I leave the DSLR's home.
Does anybody here know if the FZ30 allows you to shoot while the previous file is being written to the memory card (my Canon DSLR's have this, and it's called something like "shooting priority.")
If you can't do this on the FZ30, how long are the write times for the RAW files?
I'm going nuts trying to find a coat pocket camera, because there are too many features I want, not necessarily in this order:
1) Big zoom range/excellent lens
2) Manual focus and exposure possible
3) RAW capacity
4) minimal shutter lag
5) Optical viewfinder or good EVF
6) Useable ISO of 400, possibly 800
7) Image stabilization
8) Histogram, at least in preview mode while file is being written. Live is good, too.
I like the Canon S3 except for the lack of RAW capability.
Any thoughts? |
