GR review

Thats great! I look forward to the review, I expect a lot of other people will also. You might find this an interesting link, a GR owner's impressions, a bit on the negative side unfortunately...

Re: GR review

For samples i have seen, i dont see too much advantage over my GX8 (expet RAW)
the lens is F2.4 vs F2.5 of my GX8

the GX8 lens are very sharp

also i saw a japanes rewiev comparison Gx8 vs GRD , and Gx8 has a lot of more resolving power due to the strong noise reducion filter embedded in the GRD, so the wonderful GRD lens produce LESS details then Gx8!hhhhmmm!why dont make choice to the user??at 64 iso is not a problem!

the sensor is the same 8MP sensor, same for iso sensibilty (up 1600), i think is a problem

for Noise, yes AF is noisy! it make CRRRRRRRRR, but is not a big problem

just my 2 cents

Re: GR review

The Japanese "review" mentioned only one thing: The GX8 has less noise than the GR in the shadow area. LOL

GR 400 iso examples

Sean and anyone else interested in the GR - I managed to find some ISO 400 examples whilst wandering around Flickr (it's addictive)

Pretty noticeable noise, but there is something about the grainy look that's appealing, or maybe I've just brainwashed myself into forgiving this camera for any of it's shortcomings. I've ordered one anyway. Noise schmoise.

Re: GR 400 iso examples

Hi,

I'm new to this forum. Just got my GRd earlier today. First impression quiet good. As far as I can see untill now, my main concern is that I must try to avoid underexposure, and find a way to get more colour into the pictures. Hope I can find that in the menu.

These are a few links to websites I found of people who use Ricoh Gr Digital (among other cameras):

Greetings,
Jan Bos
