nikon 5400 write speed from IO buffer to CF card

I was wondering if one of you could tell me what the maximum write speed (IO buffer to CF card) is on a Nikon Coolpix 5400. While one of the previous posts ("What Speed of CF cards for G6 ?")addressed a similar issue, the reply seems to have been rather vague ("I don't think card speed is very important with digital P&S cameras".) So, specifically, if one should shoot 7 frames continuously say in largest-fine JPG setting, 1) Would I see a SIGNIFICANT difference in the length of time I would have to wait for the buffer to flush between a 4x CF card and an 8x CF card. 2) If so at what 'accelerated write speed' card would I stop seeing SIGNIFICANT improvement in the above wait time?

I would very much appreciate your help since I don't seem to be able to find any such information either on the web or with Nikon tech. support. Short of one of your experiences, the only way seems to require actually having two different speed cards and doing the test.
