| Re: \"My mode\" settings I found them VERY useful (I still own the G3, but nowadays I use a Digilux 2). They "remember" just about every setting on the camera, even the focussing distance and focal length. I used one for quick shooting in available light (ISO 200, manual on 1/15 s, f/2, 35 mm, manual focus at 2 m). Just as fast and responsive as my M2 (minus that "Leica feeling" ) , settings easily adjusted when needed, but always starting up "in the ballpark". The other one was for macro (ISO 50, spot metering, 100 mm, aperture priority on f/5.6, close focussing). Even with the D2īs setting rings, I still miss the convenience of those settings.... White Balance so easy, even our 5 year old can do it.- Melissa Strickland |
