Is it true about 10mp Leica coming?

Is it true about 10mp Leica coming?
I`ve heard such a rumor. Does anybody have any proof of that coming?

I would love to have such a nice thingy for my vacations and hikes...

It is true and it is supposed to start shipping end of November or beginning of December.
My dealer has received confirmation of these dates from Leica.

Just to be clear it is not a 10 Mp compact camera but rather a 10Mp digital back designed,in
conjunction with Imacon, to fit on existing R8 and R9 SLR bodies.
The whole package will be in the same size range as the top end pro bodies from Canon or Nikon.

They are developping a digital 'M' camera but that one is rumored to be about 2 years off.

The digital M is not a rumor, it is presently under development, and will be out at the latest 2 years from now.

The latest news in London is that Leica have delayed the launch of the back as they cannot get the sensor manufactured.
