The 990, A2 configuration is what I use, not that that makes any differance. I am finding that the 990 is accurate with exposures with relation to the A2. The first time I tried it I was skeptical, but viewing the lcd and being able to zoom in for details is really a nice feature. Don't forget the histogram either. I say go for the digital camera, be it 990 or G1 or whatever. Then you will have the digital for other purposes also.
