Cool Portable product shooting table

Just wondering if anyone has any plans on building a PVC portable shooting table. Hope to break down and store as my studio is small. Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Portable product shooting table

I made a PVC frame for a light tent, which was sized to encompass a standard card table. I suppose it could be adapted as a shooting table, but the idea was to provide a framework for the muslin to make the tent, and the card table was the shooting table.

It breaks down for storage.

Re: Portable product shooting table

I was on Web Photo school and they had a material list and plans, but now I can't get on anymore. I guess I'll just trial and error it. Can't be that hard I guess. Thanks for the reply.

Instructables.com has a huge portion devoted to photography and DIY solutions.

More than likely you can find one there.

This is a link to making a "black straw" grid for on camera flash heads, from there you can find all sorts of stuff.

Re: Portable product shooting table

why not a 3x6 ft folding table, add a sheet of plywood for a larger size. or 2 sawhorses and a sheet of plywood?

Re: Portable product shooting table

I would agree with Michael about using a good thick piece of plywood and sawhorses. Home Depot has a great set that is plastic, but is very adjustable. You can change the height and width of the horses. It can make it a bit easier on your back when shooting for a long time.
