Does anyone know how to copywrite in Canada?

I'm also wondering, with all the negative talk about the longevity of recordable DVD, how does the Copyright office have a copy of your work once the DVD goes kaput? And if that happens, how are you protected? As per the contact sheet that sounds like an expensive way to go, printing thumbnails of that many images.

When I initially called the office several years ago I was advised to include a "representative sample" in print form. In my submittals, this consists of a few sheets of thumbnails that I've printed using Breezebrowser. This was sent along with my CD of 12k or so images.

Unpublished work is a term they use on their form. If you use a website to display/sell your work this may be interpreted as "published." Anybody have a recent reading on this one?
