Just picked up the latest editions of Picture magazine and Photo District News (PDN). Both contain well-written articles that will be of interest to users of this forum.

Picture magazine(November/December 2005) has an article "Get a handle on your marketing" by Leslie Burns-Dell'Acqua (page 72). Good advice about planning, organizing and following through on your marketing.

PDN(November 2005) "Estimating 101" by David Walker (page 64). Three reps submitted bids on a fictitious photo assignment; estimates ranged from $30,270 to $65,770. Useful analysis of the resulting estimates and tips on estimating assignment photography.
