Why not use some resources that are currently employed by film production or theater groups in Riyadh? The process for print/still casting is essentially the same as film or theater. Here is a link to Mandy.com localized for Saudi Arabia.

I hired models and actors through Mandy.com in London earlier this year and I was pleased with both quality and quantity of talent.

You can make a specific casting call for each individual job rather than trying to establish a large database. Most actors and models already have a headshot that they can e-mail or they can send a link to their online portfolios. Once you have made an initial select, you can then invite the best candidates to your studio for a headshot.

We have no film or theater productions in Saudi Arabia (we don't even have movie theaters).

Thanks for the mandy.com site, it looks very useful and well structured.. Too bad Saudi Arabia had no entries.. People here would need to be more open minded towards photography, and that would take a bit of effort to accomplish.

I suppose that I should have actually read the Mandy.com listing for Saudi Arabia. It sounds like casting is a tough business in your corner of the world. Are there better casting opportunities in neighboring countries?

I'm located right in the middle of the U.S. and I almost never shoot here due to a lack of talent diversity. I frequently shoot in Los Angeles and San Francisco due to their concentration of actors and models plus an established industry for locations and support.
