Yup. I was an alpha and beta tester. Its quite good hardware wise. Amazingly excellent profiles using only 100 patches. The software needs work. Its the weak link here (as usual). For the price, and based on the instrument and functionality, its pretty revolutionary. But X-Rite wanted to build software targeted for a newer emerging market (consumers and designers) and I think they failed here. Its not that the software doesn't work, its just EyeOne Match with new UI gloss. Designers simply don't need to have software ask them what gamma they wish to use in this day and time. We need to get past this color geek crap. That said, I think its a very good product at an amazing price point and I only hope X-Rite puts in as much effort as GretagMacbeth put into the hardware they developed long before X-Rite had a clue about it.
