Yup, and Apple, Adobe, Canon, GretagMacbeth, Epson, NAPP, PhotoPlus, PPA, Digital Photo Pro, Sony, Compaqu, LANL, AOL, Raytheon, and more (the short list is on my site).

I'm a freelancer bud. What do you do?

That's the best you got? I'm done with you. You haven't contributed anything at all useful to the post. You're wasting everyone's bandwidth.

Go ahead, I'll even give you the last word (I'm sure it's going to be typically Moronic),

Re: Best Color Calibration program/tool you have used and would reccomend?

I just happened to pop into this thread. No one pointed it out to me. But I'm sure someone would soon enough.

You are both entitled to your opinion, of course.

However, this is not a place for name calling. Let's try to get back to answering the questions of the original poster or move on to another topic.

Jerry, regardless of opinions, calling someone a biased reviewer without some sort of concrete evidence to back up that claim is also stepping over the line. I know this happens all the time on other forums, but it should not be happening here.

Kevin
Over the years I've used both X-rite and Gretag and Macbeth equipment. I've found all to be excellent equipment. Currently I use Eye One and that works fine for me.

Hope this helps

Re: Best Color Calibration program/tool you have used and would reccomend?

I settled on the Optix XR Pro myself though I do have a Display2 as well. I am pretty miffed at Xrite for not updating the Optix software to be compatible with Vista. Yes I know how and have hacked it to work with Vista but it is a hack.

I have used a couple of the Spyder 2 Pro series owned by other people and the results were pretty good overall. I used one to profile one of my systems I use all the time and it had a bit of a magenta cast when looking at a gray scale in PS. The results were repeatable. The same system calibrated and profiled using my Optix XR Pro had a better neutral gray balance.

It looks as though x-rite has posted Vista drivers for the OptixXR on their website.

X-Rite: Products

In the unified driver download.
