That last link didn't seem to do much. Let's try this instead:

Will, is that 1.07 update that you are meaning?

"Corrects a phenomenon where captured images may tend to appear somewhat magenta depending on the shooting scene."

I have not had that.

I have done some more investigation on my end with my colour problems and they are not necessarily specific to the 50D. I shot one league with the 40D and I'm going through colour corrections right now and it's a nightmare.

I rarely shoot this late in the summer sports season and my problems seem to relate more to the HUGE differences in skin colour I am getting but when you stop to really look at the kids when you shoot, the camera is closer than I gave it credit for. Some kids are still paper white while many are very deeply tanned, some sunburned and lots that are all over the colour map. Yes, I could print them as is but my phone would be going nuts at delivery time.

I've already turned saturation down but as mentioned before, it's a bigger problem with the very pale kids and the deeply tanned ones now are getting greys in the shadows.

Solution seems to be bringing a spray can of grey paint and applying liberally to each kid. I really need a holiday - desperatley.

New business opportunity? Spray tan and photo shoot....

Yes, I am referring to 1.0.7 update.

In retrospect is appears that I may have been getting some magenta in the files that shouldn't have been there. shooting the horses I frequently had a fair amount of trees/greenery in the shots. And it looks as though it could've been some magenta muddying of the greens.

At least I'm hoping....
