That's what I tried to convey with my statement, "Ten Canon 50Ds using one meter would like show some variance."

In other words, if a meter said iso 100, ƒ8, 1/250 second, some cameras would require a third of a stop less, some would require a third of a stop more, and some would agree with meter.

Or, alternatively, have all ten cameras set at iso 100, ƒ8, 1/250 second, and you will get varying exposures.

Thank you for the clarification Doug. I am sure that if I lost you, I lost others too.

No, what you said was quite clear. I just wasn't paying attention (for the second time in this same thread!).

Thanks.

Best regards,

Doug

Re: HELP Canon adjustment question

That's very interesting, in that there was some noise around the time the 40D released that it was more sensitive at the same ISO settings than its predecessors. After much debate and some testing (I did some myself) it was concluded that there's quite a bit of variation between cameras.

In my own case, my 40D was much less than 1/3 stop more sensitive than my prior 20D. The difference was essentialy negligible.
