Re: u/s Canon 40d

Ron I tried 3 different lens, what surprised me a little was the canon
service center's reaction, when I explained what happened and what I had
done they said straight away check it in for warranty repair, in my experience you normally have to go through everything again with the rep
before you get to that point, so I thought maybe its a common problem..

Lenny,

When you get the camera back from Canon, let us know what they say about what was wrong. You may not get a detailed explaination - just part(s) they replaced and/or adjustments made.

Re: u/s Canon 40d

Finally Got the 40d back nearly a month to repair not good!!!
Nothing in paperwork to describe fault although repair centre said they
had to await new shutter parts from Canon so I guess the Shutter gave up
the ghost.

Re: u/s Canon 40d

Lenny,

Is your 40D functioning correctly?

I have had my 40D for almost 9 months and have not experienced any issues.

I am shooting with Canon lenses and using Canon batteries.

Good luck!!
