Re: Something works better than expected - 40D clock
FWIW, my 5 month old 40D gave me a err99 on the weekend. Canon lens and I don't think I've ever had anything but a Canon lens on it. No extra grip, lenses rarely changed. Canon says they can't tell why unless it happens while they are testing it. I'm not thrilled. My old 10D's are err99 all the time and the shutters are the cause. I have a friend in Toronto that had this happen after a month. Canon replaced the camera. PITA.

Re: Something works better than expected - 40D clock
Doug,
In the past with my XT and XTi's the dreaded Err99 has been a short in the in-camera power supply. 205 dollars later the camera works fine. Your's should still be under warranty, right?
