My 40D Simply LOVES My 100-400 Zoom!

I love the 100-400. Last September I shot a seaplane splash-in with a borrowed one, and now I have to get one. The previous year I shot the same event with a 80-400 Nikkor, so that range seems to be an ideal air show lens. The previous year I used a D2X, and I felt it was a little too long, but this year with a 5D it was just right.

Noel - cool shots. Where is Green Cay Wetland relative to West Palm Beach? I get to Port St. Lucie several times a year and might be able to get there too.

Ron - the BG-E2 grip will fit the 40D. The new BG-E2N adds some weather sealing, but is apparently otherwise the same.

It's actually south of West Palm, down in Boynton Beach. It's surprisingly suburban in its surroundings. A breath of fresh air!
