Re: Source for Cheap BP 512 batteries?

I also use Sterling tek, you must use their battery charger to get the extra mh out of their batteries.

Re: Source for Cheap BP 512 batteries?

The Sterlingtek charger is none other than the same Asian knockoff that is all over the internet. I've bought version off of ebay that are identical to the one I bought straight from Sterlingtek. There is no secret sauce in either the ST batteries or charger that I can ascertain.

In my cameras the ST batteries go longer than the Canon ones when either are charged on either charger.

Re: Source for Cheap BP 512 batteries?

I based my statement on the battery importers web site. Not having the facilities or inclination to do a scientific test on the validity of the claim, I just chose to accept it and bought their charger. I keep the original Canon battery in the charger they supplied and use it as a handy flashlight in the dark, {has a led that lights up when the right button is pushed}. That feature has come in handy a couple of times since I keep it in the camera bag for the 40D.
