20D shutter replaced at 68,000 plus cycles

I guess 68,000 cycles isn't too bad for a camera rated at 50,000. I have had the camera for 1 1/2 years, and besides all the grip quirks and error 99s, I got my money's worth. Canon replaced the shutter and motor drive for 195.00 including shipping.

It's rated for 100,000 cycles, not 50,000. I would have been p.o.'ed if I had to pay to replace it at 68,000.

Actually Canon makes no such claim on the 20D shutter life. AFAIK, the 30D is the first "prosumer" DSLR body that Canon has ever rated for expected shutter life.
