Anyone heard about the wi-fi attachment for 20D?

I haven't heard anything new about this since Canon announced it a month or so ago. The accessory was supposed to become available in November and a firmware upgrade for the 20D to enable it to use it in December.

Anyone know what's going on?

A Canon Salesman (Canon Employee) told me Yesterday that He has no knowledge when it will be shipped.

The hodup might well be the DCC license.

I assume you meant FCC? I would think the license would just be a formality. How different can it be from any wi-fi card in a laptop? And since Nikon already has one, it isn't a new concept.

Did the salesman suggest this? If so, was it from any knowledge or just a guess?

I guess we'll just have to keep running back and forth to download those cards after each event or game [img]/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif[/img]

I've e-mailed my salesman at Adorama 3 times on this...he absolutely refuses to answer, so I'm going to stop holding my breath.

If they announced it, I suppose it can't be a design problem because they would have had to start manufacturing it soon after they announced it. It might be the licensing issue, although I'm still doubtful, or it could be a production problem. I imagine we'll see it reasonably soon, just maybe not this year.
