Canon 20D image delete/download problem

Hi, I have noticed, since swithing to a 20D from the 10D I now can't download images direct form the camera to my mac! Has anyone else had this problem? If I use a card reader there is no problem but using the USB lead I can see th images but the option to save is not available!

Also, when using the card reader to save images I notice that if I delete them from EOS Viewer Utility, they are deleted from the card but when you put it back in the camera the number of images available to hoot does not increase, as iff the deleted images are still there but do not appear. The counter does reset if I delete from the 20D or if I re-format but is this correct?

Thanks!

Hi Tony,

I noticed the same thing when I deleted all images off my card in the camera (not through the EOS Viewer Utility), but I didn't have time to troubleshoot it. I kept using the camera and when the next time I looked at the counter, it was correct. So I guess it eventually resets itself to the correct number - but I am not sure how you can force it to do so right after you delete the images...
