"Reference" white balance

In the 300D/DR (for example) is there one of the predetermined WB settings which contemplates the ambient illumination being that described in colorimetry as "illuminant D65"?

That could be thought of as being "no color correction" with respect to sRGB output, since illuminant D65 is the reference white of that color space.

As I have no absolute chrominance meter, I cannot determine this empirically.

There is no specific setting on the Digital Rebel for 6500K white balance. Here is the list of the color temperature aim points for each of the preset WB settings on that camera:

Sunny: Approx. 5200K
Shade: Approx. 7000K
Cloudy: Approx. 6000K
Tungsten: Approx. 3200K
Fluorescent: Approx. 4000K
Flash: Approx. 6000K

There is no manual setting for color temperature on the Digital Rebel, but you could approximate a 6500K setting by creating a reference image for Custom WB in a D65 environment, such as a calibrated lightbox for viewing prints.
