Doug, Thanks for your quick answer. That's what I assumed but thought I'd at least ask all you experts about what you do. The cable release is a solution, but at the margin when in between hand held and long exposure tripod, I hoped there was an easier solution then using a cable - since it isn't exactly action friendly. Seems like a challenge that shouldn't exist if Canon simply made their equipment fit better - and this is from a Canon fan.
