I've always wondered about hacking cameras. Back when I had a Nikon D1, I always wondered if someone could have written a new firmware for it, since there never was one issued by Nikon.

I wouldn't be surprised if you see something like that from Canon in the near future. Or, failing that, maybe they'll explain why they DIDN'T do it.
