new to this forum - saying hi.. waiting for my new 5DMkII

Hello all,

Just joined today, in anticipation of getting my 5D Mk II tomorrow.(kit 24-105).
In way of introduction, I'm a hobbyist, and I'm using one SLR or another for more years I care to admit (I still have my Minolta XG9), and now upgrading from a Rebel to the new 5D.
I have ordered a UV filter, XIII 4Gb cards, and I'm considering getting a couple of after market batteries with a 12V charger..

Any tips or idea of what should I get for the camera?

I would caution against after market batteries. I have not had good experiences with them. Sometimes you might get a usable battery, but you can't be sure.

Hi Arie, I'm new here as well. I've found a lot of good info on Amazon about what people are buying by reading the reviews. People like you and me are sharing what they have and what does and doesn't work. Hope this helps!
