Re: 5D Shooters Rejoice!

dpreview.com has posted a variety of sample images from the 5D MarkII including some very high ISO examples that look very good.

Re: 5D Shooters Rejoice!

No matter whether the 5DM2's AF system is improved or not, it'll probably still offer better low-light AF performance than my new Nikon D3 (as my 1DM3 significantly outperforms the D3 in low light situations). So I suggest you accept that it's probably as good as Canon could do. It's probably about as good as can be without AF assist beams and such.

Seriously, don't you think that if there were better AF technology available to Canon, that they would have included it in this body?

Or maybe you're just looking for an excuse to avoid the 5DM2 and start speculating about the 5DM3, which should be announced any day now.

Re: 5D Shooters Rejoice!

Interesting Vincent Laforet pre-production hands-on about the video function. I'm starting to believe I may use the capability more than I originally thought. Getting pumped up...I'm ready for my 5DMkII to be delivered.

Congrats... since Vincent's blog post above Canon released a new firmware that opens up the video capabilities even more.
