Chuck: DPP 3.4.1.1 has got the jaggies

dpp-jaggies-3.4.1.1.jpg photo - r_p photos at pbase.com

As in the above sample, DPP has jaggies where the same file processed in Capture One does not. Any ideas? (sharpening was set to 5 out of 10 on that conversion...)

Thanks.

Re: Chuck: DPP 3.4.1.1 has got the jaggies

there was a thread on this subject when the last update of DPP came out - if I recall there is a setting in DPP you need to change and it will be fixed.

Now I suppose you want me to remember what setting that was, huh? Well, I didn't need to make the change so I can't recall it.

Re: Chuck: DPP 3.4.1.1 has got the jaggies

Here is a thread I began a while ago about this issue: DPP 3.0.2.6 and Jaggies on 1DIII files. It was about jaggies when converting 1DIII files using DPP. However I have also noticed jaggies from 5D files.

I quote from one of the posts:

"There used to be a jaggies problem caused by one of the DPP options.
If you look at Tools->Preferences, General Settings tab, make sure that the Viewing and Saving RAW Images option is set to High Quality."

However those are the settings I have always had and still see jaggies.

Raul.

Mine is already set to High Quality, so apparently that is not the answer. Thanks.

Anyone else??

Hi, Ron:

If you want to send me the RAW file, I'll be happy to analyze it.
