Re: How to commune with the Canon gods

Well with at least 85% of market we must have done something right. LOL

Re: How to commune with the Canon gods

Hi, Curt:

Thanks for the feedback, I'll be happy to pass it along to Canon Inc. R&D in our next monthly market feedback report.

PS: There's no need to shout.

Thank you Chuck, I didn't mean to yell, and thank you, thank you, thank you for the reply! I'm hoping for something like the picture here:

And Chuck, if I may offer my $0.02... If they do work on the method of showing the histogram, how about asking them to re-evaluate how the histogram shows individual channel clipping. I've seen many a histogram that looked fine but had a single color channel overexposed (usually red).

Also, perhaps a color histogram, something like this, perhaps?

Re: How to commune with the Canon gods

Nice Noel. So how about we add custom function where we can choose which, and how many, different screens show up upon pressing the info button.

Re: How to commune with the Canon gods

Not a bad idea, either yellow or RGB. But what happens if your chimp pix is bright light blue sky (can't see the blue histo, it'll blend in), or your subject has a lot of yellow (the yellow histo blends into the baackground)...

Anyway, the nice 3 inch screens are a far cry from the old 1.6 inch ones we used to have to read the pix and histo from.
