Question on sub mirror adjust program just announced.

Canon has announced that it will begin the process of "sub mirror adjustment" on Dec 3 at a facility separate from the normal U.S. service centers in NJ and CA. This is a stiling idea!

Since I already put my early (508nnn) 1D3 "on the list" last month, will that suffice, or do I need to also get on this new list?

It's best to contact Canon's Customer Support Center at 1-800-828-4040 to get a clarification on this question. If you've already registered with them on this issue, they'll have a record of it, and they will update you on your status.

Thanks for the response. I did call and they confirmed that I'm on the list based on my request a few weeks ago. I also mentioned to the support person that I've installed firmware V1.1.3 and ran a few quick tests on moving vehicles. The response in AI Servo mode seems much improved, and overall, the camera seems to have more "zing".

He said I was the first to report on this, as far as he was concerned, and was very appreciative of the feedback.
