I have the canon 17-40, but am interested in the Sigma 15mm f2.8. Anyone tested side by side?
I wonder how they compare in terms of quality but most of all how much more coverage would I get??

You'll get a bit more coverage, but the focus speed will be less and the color/contrast won't likely match the canon lens - if these things matter to you. The 17-40 is weather sealed, i doubt the sigma is.
Thanks, I guessed as much. It's just to get a little quirky shot no and again at a wedding - you know the super wide with converging verticals. Not sure how distorted the verticals are though or how much wider angle of view... any ideas?
