Canon 35mm f/2 Lens

Has anyone had experience with this lens? I was thinking of picking it up as a walk-around lens for my 5D. Slrgear.com says the optics are great, but a few users mention a wasp-like whine with the AF. It's quite a bit cheaper and smaller than the 1.4. Since I don't really need the speed of the 1.4, or the size, the 2 seems like a good lens, but I am concerned about the noise.

Re: Canon 35mm f/2 Lens

Here's a good review:

Canon EF 35mm f/2.0 Lens Review

The article doesn't address the noise, but the deal-killer for me personally, is the bokeh. It has distinctly pentagon shaped out-of-focus highlights if you stop it down a little.

If you're not concerned about that, you'll probably get used to the noise.
