Suggestions for selling Canon 1Ds Mark II

I am getting ready to auction off my canon 1Ds Mark II on eBay, and I wanted to first find out from some of you if there are any additional sales venues that you would recommend I utilize in addition to eBay to ensure that I receive the best price possible for the equipment I am planning to sell...Can anyone provide a list of some alternate websites that I might be able to utilize, such as online auction sites, classified ads sites (other than the classifieds section on this site of course), or other sales venues?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Why not try the trading post forum here? You'll save the fees that Ebay charges...

I would also suggest Craig's List as an alternative. However, I have sold 5 high end cameras on Ebay and had excellent results. The only problem with Ebay is all the fraudulent bidders. If you haven't sold there before, be very careful. Make it very plain that you will not sell to anyone with less than 5 feedbacks without prior permission and that you will ship only to confirmed paypal accounts and only to those who have a verified paypal address. Never, never, never sell to anyone with zero feedbacks and never agree to ship to a third party. It is very easy to be screwed on Ebay.

I agree, the classifieds (with a photo) and the trading post here are great places. Give it a try before ebay for high $ items. As you will know then that the camera will be well cared for and used by someone that will appreciate it like you did. At least to me thats important and I like to know my items will be used properly. I also use to post at the Local photo school where I tutored, as I like a lot of others, cant always afford new, and if I can save some $ its a lot better, and lots of students are that way too.
