Favourite picture style for portraits ?

I recently received my 1Dmk2N. Just out of curiosity what picture style do you prefere for portraits ?
I found most styles too reddish to my taste. Maybe the neutral setting gives me the best "you-get-what-you-see" look.
With a liitle bit of extra magenta it looks good to me.
Any suggestions for getting the colors right (yes I use custom white balance) ?

Shoot in Raw mode and then use a good raw converter such as Capture One Pro, Adobe Camera Raw, Canons DPP, or other.

I use Capture One Pro with Magne's color profiles and have no reddish tones with the original Canon 1D. Using jpeg mode, the skin tone is alway a bit reddish as stated by many other users. With RAW there isn't a problem.

To be honest, Don\'t like \'em

Picture Styles sounds like a great idea, however, I've not been enamoured with them so have not looked at them too closely.

The induction of red and blown highlights had me scared for a while, my flash was almost useless and I was rather knocked for six ~ then I turned the styles off and I’m getting more predictable results.

I’m still sold on the idea and no doubt I’ll devote an afternoon to exploring them again some time.

Hello Ger,

"then I turned the styles off and I’m getting more predictable results."
How do you turn them off ? Somewhere in this forum I read that Chuck Westfall advised to use
'neutral' to get the same colors as the 1D mk2 non N.
In my experience, it is more difficult to get the colours right than the non N version.
I don't want to swich between diiferent profiles for use in studio, indoors, outdoor ...
I have never done that before and I want to keep it that way (I never have any problem with my 1Ds mk2 ... beautiful colors in
jpeg and in raw in all different environment). I realise that I have the camera only 2 days but one of the reasons I did an updrade from the 1dMK2 was the good color production of this camera.
For me it's all about getting the skintones right / beautiful.

Just curious to other experiences.

Jeroen

Thanks for the reactions so far.
