Dropped my MKII on church tiles, broke the flash and sent the lot to Canon UK for CPS care and attention.
Five weeks later and some €300 lighter it arrives back today.
Main difference is the 16~35L is much better, I had Canon work on this lens last year and that was a vast improvement but this time it is really better with useable sharpness from corner to corner.
The flash exposures are now much more accurate too, about a third under for my liking but importantly the same exposure for vertical as for horizontals ~ I hope this lasts.
Finally AF seems a tad more accurate too, this was the first time I sent in the MKII, I thought mine was off a wee bit but those little bits seems to make a surprising difference.
What does not seem to have been fixed is the necessity to touch many of the buttons twice, like the AF activator, the review button and the zoom button ~ I still need to push them twice as often.
The MKII seems to have survived and I thought that at the time but it was well worth sending it in ~ I’d recommend it to all.
