Re: C1 3.7 final now available for download!

Well i just downloaded it and got it set but I ran into this. They have a option for single processors. On the Dell 670 workstation dual Xeon processors I have the option to choose that, than on my laptop that is grayed out. I don’t think I would want to choose that but why do they have that option. I wonder if you did than one processor is dedicated to Raw processing and the other to other tasks, interesting option and for us duallie guy’s I wonder what it means.

So the question is for folks with dual processors do we chose single or let it run on both. What peformance option would be the best. I wonder if Michael can jump in on this one. I will post this on Raw workflow also

You'd better ask him quickly. You'd also better go there and read the announcement.

Having said that, the new Styles feature might be interesting in 3.7. I have not played with it, but it's an interesting approach.

The Mac version downloaded fine to my 17", running 10.3.9.

(Michael Tapes leaving CO)...and he's taken up with RSE (developers who used to work at CO)!

3.7 Windows doesn't have any of the "styles" Mark--you'll have to let us know what they are... are they just a way of globally setting a WB / hue / saturation / curve / focus? Or something else?

Re: C1 3.7 final now available for download!

Michael Tapes stopped working for/with C1 more then a month ago. There is a post on his website about this.

Just checked it out and they still didn't fixed the wrong pixel count error. I find this very annoying as you never get the 2:3 ratio when downsizing it for web. For print its not important but all my webfiles are 500x750 and since 3.6 they would be 750 by 499 or 1024 x 681 instead of 683 instead. Now I crop them always to 3:2 but that can't be a solution.

Yes, Michael stopped with CO--but the connection with RSE is brand new!

Frank--not to be stupid or abrasive or anything--but can you tell us why a couple of pixels shaved for output matters on the Web, where that kind of error is negligible anyway? Is this just a web coding problem or something?
