Frank--not to be stupid or abrasive or anything--but can you tell us why a couple of pixels shaved for output matters on the Web, where that kind of error is negligible anyway? Is this just a web coding problem or something?

[/ QUOTE ]

yes something like that, first of all I want to offer consistent picture sizes on my websites. Not that the ones are 1024 by 681 the the next 1024 by 683 and so on (thats maybe german exactness). The other problem I have Web Gallery Layouts which I developed for Photoshop are somewhat depending on an exact picture size. I can change this but its always work to do and so its really annoying if the developed picture size from the same camera changes three times in 18 months. In the early stages the picture size of C1 was bigger then of the other RAW Convertes, then the same, now smaller... Nothing I can't work around but I wonder why they cant fix it since three versions.

Other then that C1 is really good and has the best workflow available on the market. RSE is quite cool and I love it, but for people it brings out every impurity on the skin, so I love to use it for landscapes but not for people as long as they don't incorporate a threshold slider / setting for sharpening. Its really cool what sharp picturs RSE gets out of my 1Ds II but for people its contraproductive.

I've tried finding anything about 3.7 having tools to correct CA. Did they just totally pass that over? Awesome! if it's there; shame on them if it isn't.

I don't think there's anything specific for CA in Capture One. On the rare occasion I need to deal with that (Canon wide angle glass or wide open 85 1.2), I use a post process action in PS to clean up.

Re: C1 3.7 final now available for download!

My understanding is that 3.7 is a modest update designed to solve, among others, the tethered capture problem. On the C1 forums there has been talk for some time now about the feature set in a new version 4, which will cost money to upgrade to, and is expected in late fall. CA, distortion, vignetting, more sharpening options, etc. have all been discussed, but to my knowledge, have not been promised by C1.

Re: C1 3.7 final now available for download!

I have the impression that previews for 1Ds2 files now appear again with a noticeable lag on my Mac system running 10.3.9. This is a source of concern. Drawing times were less on v3.6 and the 3.7RC I believe.

Re: C1 3.7 final now available for download!

Well I just did a shoot in the studio and gave up after 5 minutes with it tethered and the 1dsMKII. i still even with the beta version and now the final version can't get updated previews on the PC. I thought this was fixed or am I just not hitting something in it. Frustrating and if it was not for there workflow and raw processing I would go elsewhere. I have to use DPP for tethered and have been for months and it works like C1 of old with some added benifits.
