Re: You guys are killing me!

Well, a little more to kill you by I've had this lens for about a week, and I'm really starting to like it a lot. My last 200 shots were done with it. Here's one shot at f1.2, available light, 100th or so. I think someone will have to pry it from my cold dead fingers before I'll part with it.

Erin-available light

Here is another one, but shot around f5.6 or f8

Re: New 85mm f/1.2.

If you don't need the speed or the USM focusing, the 50 2.5 macro has zero distortion and is very sharp.

I'll second that. I have both the 50 1.4 and 50 2.5 Macro and I find myself reaching for the macro more and more when I have time to manually focus; wonderfully sharp wide open and minimal birefringence (and only then with very strong backlighting).

Re: New 85mm f/1.2.

I'm just making enquiries about a used 85 1.2......but was wondering if Amber came with it for test shots???

Yes, I'm pretty sure she does. But I think her rates and airfare would negate any savings on the used lens I hate how that works!
