Re: Copyright - is there a way to put it on all files?

the camera OWNERS NAME is one thing and means very little legally.
however the COPYRIGHT is a seperate and legally essential field.

to have to place my name manually into the metadata copyright field of every single image seems ridiculous.
using a custom action is all well and good for processed images,
but one would think you could put the (c) for every single image I shoot into the raw data of my own camera from the get-go.
it seems not though.

Re: Copyright - is there a way to put it on all files?

I too would like to, at least, use the owner field to add the copyright symbol along with my name, but on a Mac, this doesn't seem possible. It won't let you copy/paste or use option->g.
Having just switched to Canon I was a little frustrated by this, as I was able to add this in the "comments" field on my old Nikon D1X and D100.

Also Adobe Bridge seems very fast in adding metadata to even RAW images. I'm going to have to explore that some.

Adobe Bridge doesn't actually add info to the RAW images. It adds all metadata to an XMP sidecar file. But it is fast So I guess you have to make sure the sidecar file goes with your RAW files (wherever they're going...)

I use "(C)2005 ..." in the owner field.
