For anyone interested there is a brief article in the current issue of American Photo summarizing Russel James
involvement in an upcoming Victoria Secrets book project where he delivered black and white imagery.
For this project he used the 1Ds Mk1. The image on the opening spread takes up about 3/4 of a double page spread
and looks every bit like what we've come to expect from LARGE medium format film.Impressive.
Not much technical detail in the magazine but the online version @
www.americanphotomag has a longer interview
with a tad more tecnical info,but not much.
The most interesting fact,to me,was that he shot primarily in JPEG so he didn't have to deal with the huge 1Ds files.
