800,000+ shutter actuations

i had one 1d (my first) and put about 250000 on it before i sold it. never had a problem except 3-4 mo in with some water damage. had a d30 with 52000 frames on it (canon rates it for 36000) that had a flash problem that was on the board. canon said dont fix it cause the shutter would not be long for the world etc. i would sell the camera when u felt like it and replace it with a mark ii, gees they r at 3400 now.

I'll be sending one of my bodies in next week, followed by the second if they go for it - we'll see if they'll work on it...

One of the big issues, as far as Canon refusing to work on them, with the film bodies was the film transport. Since that entire set of mechanism is not necessary with digital, we might be in luck. Maybe they'll do one of those ads with you and your 4000,000+ 1D's, a la the old Mercedes ads.
