Re: Anyone Using 4 GB CF Cards in Their MK II Yet?

Thanks for the info on the firewire d/l time, interesting to compare. I've just transferred 1GB of images from the card via the USB2 reader as a further test, it took 1min 44secs! The cardreader is the cheapest most generic one I could find as I wasn't sure it would work, £5.00 from a UK online shop link there is no manufacturer info but according to the sticker on the underside of the reader the model number is CR-V22-U2C.

Thanks, I didn't notice before that you are in the UK, I am sure there is something similar over here.

Re: Anyone Using 4 GB CF Cards in Their MK II Yet?

I just got off the phone with Kevin @ Lexar help desk. I have 2 gb lexar cards 80X which have been formatted in the Canon 1dsmk11 and show images on the lcd-but are empty when viewed on the mac desktop. I was able to recover in Image Rescue 2.0. Since I have both mac and pc, he told me to do a secure erase, than a format on the PC. Then format in the camera. I have now numbered my 2 gig cards (1,2,3) in hope of finding the problems. I also told lexar help to watch this site for problems photographers are having. Lexar was very helpful. mike hemberger
