Interesting 1D waiting list rules

This is a paragraph quoted from Calumet Photographics (US) website:

"If you would like to purchase an EOS-1D and officially get in line to receive one, please add it (EC2660) to your cart and go through Checkout. Orders will be filled in a priority determined by Canon."

The last sentence is the one I find interesting, this is the 'waiting list page' for the 1D.
I wonder who I call at Canon to be put on the top of the list...?

It is interesting.

A lot of rumors flying around including the one that only 150 units would be shipped to distribute among 250 dealers.

I have a feeling many of us are going to be waiting a long time for this camera.
